Franchise Fee - Compensates Murphy Business & Financial Corporation for materials and services related to start up, use of trademark, proprietary information, manuals, training, marketing materials, business forms, professional consultation and other support and administrative activities.
Leasehold Improvements, Furnishing & Computers – Includes the following:
Signage – Outside signs bearing the Murphy Business & Financial Corporation trademark.
Furnishings – These items include miscellaneous office furniture.
Computers – Our current hardware requirements for the Computer System include a 2 package system containing the following: (1) a 1.75G or faster Intel Celeron PC (or equivalent) with a minimum of 256MB of RAM, a hard drive capacity of 40GB or greater, a 10/100 network card, the Windows XP operating system (Professional Version only) and Adobe Acrobat Reader version 5 or greater; (2) a 15-inch monitor (flat panel highly recommended) and (3) a HP LaserJet 1000 printer (or equivalent) to print contracts and reports; and (4) an 8 Port Network Hub to connect all PCs. You must also maintain a high-speed Internet connection, such as cable, DSL, or fractional T1 (no ISDN).
Real Estate, Rent and Deposits – Required pre-payments for facility rental, security deposits and various other utility and insurance premium pre-payments as required on an individual basis.
Training – Expense related to travel including meals and lodging.
Pre-Opening – Professional fees, business licenses and opening expenses
Working Capital – Funds allocated for various other expenses regarding start-up and marketing costs, as well as an initial reserve.
